The MindBody Workbook Volume 2

If you are experiencing back pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, tension headaches, TMS, or other physical disorders that have become chronic, it is highly possible that psychological issues are contributing to or causing the pain. I co-authored The MindBody Workbook Volume 2 with David Schechter, M.D., a physician and former student of Dr. John Sarno. With our combined 40 years of medical and clinical experience, we have learned the most important questions to reflect on and write about to get at the roots of pain and other physical symptoms in the mind/brain. There are over 1,000 research studies demonstrating the effectiveness of journaling. I can also personally attest to journaling being a critical element in my own healing journey from chronic back pain and other mindbody symptoms. You can purchase the Workbook on Amazon here.

This Workbook offers a 30-day structured journal to identify, express, and process psychological issues that may be causing back pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, tension headaches, TMJ, and other physical disorders. This Workbook also features sections on self-compassion, self-esteem, and gratitude that have proven utility in helping you feel better and heal. Daily affirmations are integrated to keep the reader in the optimal mindset for eliminating pain.

The MindBody Workbook Volume Two is designed to be used before or after completing the original MindBody Workbook. It can be utilized completely independently, or alongside Dr. Schechter's book Think Away Your Pain or with the online course The MindBody Healing Journey that Dr. Schechter and I created.

Journaling has been shown through decades of research and clinical experience to be one of the most clinically effective and cost-effective methods to alleviating conditions in which the mind/brain/emotions play a role. As noted above, this includes chronic pain and other disorders which are 'functional' in nature, or more related to the brain, neural pathways, and emotions than they are to biochemical or structural disorders in the body or organ systems.
